Dar es Salaam

Arrival - Part 1

Before hunkering down at home in the United States for the impending holiday season a fresh travel adventure was in store. Throwing a dart at a map and deciding on a new location can sometimes be hard but Tanzania and its adventurous sounding nomenclature for the country itself, the capital city Dar Es Salaam, the historically contested territorial island of Zanzibar, and finally the world-renowned summit of Kilimanjaro (the highest point in the continent of Africa) made it easy to get excited to make the journey there.
